It's been a while since I've done a "wrapping up the week" post! Things are busy as always, but life is feeling a little more organized now that school has started and we are in the swing of a schedule.

Some things I've been enjoying...

:: my little greenhouse. It brings me so much joy to work outside with my flowers. Now that we have a bigger property, I am having so much fun creating flower beds and dreaming about what we could do here. It's my therapy and escape from work.

:: we've had fresh peaches for the past two months and it has been HEAVEN. We have 19 peach trees and although they are a lot of work, the reward of having peaches on a daily basis is totally worth it. They are almost finished for the season, and I seriously think I will cry when we eat the last one.

:: hubs is building an unconventional (to say the least) play area for the kids. He's made a swing set using the trees and has grand plans for more and the kids love it.

:: we got two kittens for the kids last week and they are in love. I'm allergic, so they stay outside, but they have been great entertainment for the kids.

Some things I've been watching and reading...

:: the John Adams miniseries on Amazon. It completely changed my perspective on our founding fathers and the American revolution. It is so well done and fascinating!

:: A Chef's Life on PBS. It is chill and laid back and I just love it.

:: I just read the book People Over Profit by Dale Patridge. It was interesting to hear his research on how companies tend to start out wanting to serve the customers and employees but eventually let greed and the bottom line dictate the way they run.

:: I loved following Emily from Jones Design Co. this summer as her family went on a big road trip throughout the US.

:: Nate Bargatze is a comedian who has been cracking me up lately. Search him on Youtube. You'll be glad you did.
