Giving with Kohl’s

I’ve worked with the folks at Kohl’s on a few projects, and I have to say, they have always been awesome to work with. A few months ago they asked me if I’d like to be involved in a campaign to give some needy families much needed essentials for Christmas. I thought this would be a great way to involve the kiddos and get them thinking about how great it is to give instead of always be on the receiving end.

We were matched with a family in our area through the Community Action Program of Lancaster and were given a list of clothing items that the family needed. Avery and I went shopping with our $150 gift card that Kohl’s supplied and found lots of great things. Avery loved checking things off our list!

I took Violet and Jack along to drop off the gifts, and while we didn’t have an opportunity to meet the family, we hope this makes their holidays a little bit brighter! We have so much to be thankful for, and it is just the best feeling to make a difference (however small it might be) in someone else’s life. Thank you Kohl’s for this opportunity!
