Family Room Wall Color

I started to think about painting the family room a different color several months ago, but I wasn’t sure what color I wanted to use. Until I saw Layla’s blog post at The Lettered Cottage, and then I knew the direction I wanted to head in. 

The new paint color is Benjamin Moore Gray Owl and it is awesome. It’s mostly very light gray with a little bit of blue, depending on the light.

Since I was painting the walls anyway, I decide to do some re-decorating while I was at it (of course). I created this ocean-inspired painting using old barn wood that hubs put together for me. And I LOVE it. I’m keeping it up for the summer…maybe longer.

So, there you have it! Thanks to Layla I am LOVING my summery family room!
