More Fluffing

March 03, 2009

I was flipping through the latest Pottery Barn catalog and came across this little description that got me thinking…

“…choosing high-quality furniture, fabrics and accessories is the only path to a home you truly love.”

You can’t have a home you truly love without spending a lot of money on the highest quality furnishings? That’s ridiculous!!

If you have the money to spend, then I say go ahead and spend it on the best stuff, but if you’re like me, you don’t exactly have a ton of cash to spend on the “extras” for the house.

I find that, in my experience, if you are forced to be creative by finding the inexpensive items you like at places you may not normally shop, your home has more personality and is more unique and not so “cookie-cutter”.

Of course, you all know my love affair with Goodwill (you’re probably sick of hearing me talk about it!), but here are some things I found in the last few weeks…

A wire bowl on top of a pillowcase as a table centerpiece…

A cute little basket I found for my bathroom (everything in it is from GW)…

Wicker bag that I just couldn’t resist…
