I was inspired by Beth from Home Stories A to Z to create a little desk area for my girls, especially with school starting. It's a great little area to keep the many paintings and drawings that they just HAVE to keep.

I bought a 4'x4' piece of peg board at Lowes and spray painted it with Kilz primer, then white Rustoleum Painter's Touch spray paint. It's a great backdrop to hang clipboards and keep papers organized. The desk was a secondhand find from my mom.

I found the marquee letters on clearance at Michael's. They were a Heidi Swapp kit that you have to put together, then I spray painted them with gold glitter paint. Super cute!

I felt like the top of the peg board needed something, so I made a sign out of some scrap wood and hung it from the ceiling.

I moved some of the furniture around in the girls' room to create a space for the desk area. It's such a fun room for me to play around with! Here's the other side of the room...
