Wrapping up the week

Here are some things that caught my interest this week.

:: I started listening to a new podcast called Making Oprah, which is pretty interesting. It talks about how the Oprah show started years ago.

:: I can't say that I love Walmart, but it is my closest and most convenient store, and I happen to go a lot. I use their Savings Catcher app that I downloaded on my phone, and it's actually been worth my time to use it. You scan your receipt after every purchase, and it looks to see if there are competitor prices lower than theirs. If the competitor prices are lower, it credits your account. And you can then cash in the money for a gift card. I just bought this Pioneer Woman cake stand and this cutting board with a gift card. They actually have a lot of cool products on their website and you can pick it up in the store for free.
