DIY Hanging Paper Artwork

My two girls share a room on the second floor of our Cape Cod style house. I loved the slanted ceilings and character that their room has! A few years ago I created the "wallpaper" on the wall behind their bed (it's actually just flowers that I painted onto the wall - read about it here). I needed some simple artwork to go above their bedstands, so I decided to create signs out of engineering paper and a wood dowel.

If you'd like to make a similar one, here's what you'll need:

-A jpg image of the sign. You can create it yourself using a program like PicMonkey or Canva.

-Wood dowels cut to the size that you'd like. I bought mine at Walmart.

-String

Tutorial:

1. Order an engineering print from an office store like Staples. Use the sign image you create and choose the correct size that you'd like.

2. Cut the paper to the correct size.

3. Staple the paper to the dowel from the back like this...

4. Attach a string to the dowel, and you are finished! It is so simple and costs just a few dollars.
